Executive summary:
To drive greater efficiency and cost savings for the Food & Beverage industry, Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG) has introduced two new programmes aimed at optimizing and centralizing business operations. Additionally, the agency has teamed up with UOB to accelerate the digital transformation of the sector. Informed by the Food Services Productivity Report, this comprehensive effort is slated to support more than 1,000 F&B companies over the coming two years. These 2 programmes are:
The F&B Process Optimization Programme (POP) which focuses on helping F&B companies review and optimize outlet processes. Companies are able to engage appointed consultants to tap into improvements in outlet layout, menu engineering and technology adoption, which includes AI-enabled and integrated solutions.
The Enhanced FoodX Programme supports companies in centralizing food preparation to achieve long-term cost savings and streamline operations. Financial support is given to outsource food preparation to established central kitchens or food manufacturers.
What this means for your company:
If you are a company offering technologies for the F&B industry such as AI-enabled or integrated solutions, this is a good position to be in. The F&B Process Optimisation Programme (POP), which helps F&B companies adopt technology, works through appointed vendors. These vendors are the primary implementers of technology solutions.
You could look to partner with one of the Enterprise SG appointed POP vendors. Your technology could be the solution they recommend and implement for the F&B companies undergoing the process redesign. You should reach out to these appointed vendors to showcase your F&B technology and explore a partnership where they can integrate your solution into their consultancy packages.
